There are a number of creative ways to use TryScience in the classroom---
here
are some of the best ideas that teachers around the world have come up with and used successfully, including
presentations
,
design contest submissions
,
research projects
, and highly
interactive
(and optionally competitive!)
programs.
In an effort to better align TryScience activities with classroom curricula, a number of organizations have provided
documents correlating TryScience activities with
science educational standards.
The NSTA Science Guides
describe the ways the Internet can facilitate learning, through lesson plans, activities, experiments and real-world examples that are aligned to the standards. They include lists of pre-selected web sites organized by grade level (K-4, 5-8, and 9-12) and theme, and resources that provide teachers with instructional examples of how to use these links within varying levels of computer access.
